Social Media Breakfast Calgary #68
8:30 am – 10:30 am, Friday, September 25th, 2015
Calgary Social Media Breakfast (SMByyc) is pleased to announce September 2015 Topic: Review of NO or LOW Cost Everyday Apps
SMByyc continues new technology series. The evolution of social media has impacted communication. Rapid changes in technology have exponentially increased the number of tools available to us. The series will examine devices, mobile units, wearable-technologies and apps that impact how we interact with our work, volunteer experiences and our personal lives.
This month, SMByyc has invited a group of individuals to each share a useful app.
SMByyc is again excited to be invited to help launch YYC Pizza Week.
You know what that means!
If you are not able to attend, follow and join in on the discussion @SMByyc via #SMByyc68.

Calgary Co-op has been a part of Calgary for 56 years and just like Calgary it has gone through a lot of changes over the years.
Proud to be a part of the city, Co-op was created as a store that earned people over profits and provided for kitchen tables over boardroom tables. Growing with the city, Co-op has been a mainstay throughout generations and with new offerings like our Fresh to Go kitchens, cheese islands and other great innovations it has evolved from early roots while still maintaining our commitment to the best quality products.
The Co-op family includes Co-op Gas Bars, Co-op travel, Co-op Wine, Spirits and Beer, Co-op Home Health Care and Co-op Pharmacy.
Working with many local charities, businesses and sports teams; Co-op is an integral part of the Calgary landscape. Always moving forward and improving Co-op has realized that digital is important and is currently moving in an exciting digital direction.
Supporting Calgary Meals on Wheels, YYC Pizza Week returns to Calgary offering up pizza lovers all kinds of delicious and unique pizza creations. From Friday, September 25 – Sunday, October 4th the public can visit various YYC Pizza Week Restaurants around town, pick up a passport, and have it stamped once they’ve ordered a pizza for the opportunity to win prizes!
Over 40 of Calgary’s best pizza restaurants will compete in a friendly pizza competition by featuring a signature pizza in one of four categories: Neapolitan, Thick Crust, Unique, or Gluten Free.
Partial proceeds from every pizza sold will benefit Calgary Meals on Wheels. The public can vote for their favourite pizza in each category via a text voting application. Winners will be announced the following week, given a trophy, and bragging rights.
More information plus pizza descriptions can be found here YYC Pizza Week.
